I choose to do this art challenge because there are many pictures out there that influence you and give you mixed emotions. Some pictures may make you want too do things or take action in someway.
My partner Emily Tapken and I worked together on this project finding Pablo Picasso's art and back round stories and information about them. What i really liked about this project is that some of the information we found out about the paintings were very intersecting. We met the Challenge standards because we did of few of Picasso's paintings and told you about them. One thing I will never forget is that, everyone is a piece of artwork sometimes you just have to dig a little deeper to find their storie s.
Emily Tapken and I did this project together. (Emily did the right and i did the left.) First we drew a line directly down the middle of the canvas then we drew a circle on the line on the diameter of the circle. Then we searched up online how to draw a face. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbRMCgtcchw) And we added the chin to the face. The we added facial features to the face corresponding with the line.we started coloring the face different colors to show that they are different people. we started coloring the face different colors to show that they are different people. One of the problems we encountered during this project is getting the sides of the face equal we had erase and redo a lot. I am most proud of the way the quote looks in the background I think it turned out really well. I am doing a 2D project First I free handed the world and some people around it I then traced the earth onto the final paper I split the globe into fractions to know where to put the people I then drew the world I started to draw people around it holding hands, I drew different outfits to represent different cultures in the world I colored the earth and added the quote "Everyone is equal, we all have 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, we live on this earth together" I chose to do this project because I really feel strong about equality and that we all are the same in ways. I think things that encourage people to take creative risks is when we get to choose what we want to draw and pick what we want to do with it. My print design is of a basketball going into a hoop with my name above it. I did this design because I really like basketball and I thought this would convey it really well. To make this print design first you had to draw out your design. Then I had to retrace my drawing backwards because it had my name on it, and if I did it the right way and print it it would say my name backwards. After I retraced it backwards, then I had to lightly shade on the back of my drawing. We used Linoleum blocks to carve out our prints. We used a Brayer and a stop block when we made our prints. The Brayer is the carving tool and the stop block makes it so to hold your print. After we were done carving out our print we used printmaking print to print our art work onto final paper. We did runs which means we did a lot of prints in a row before we had good ones.
This is my logo design. I picked this design because I really like basketball and I think this show me really well. I like how it over all looks. I put my name in the net but eventually moved it above.
